Did you know: You don't have to click each key one by one to assign to them. Select a serial assignment method under MENU-> Serial Assignment, and select a key. When it's bound to a new key, the active key to select jumps to the next in its series.
Did you know: While the default UI is annoying to print, Keybard has a "print" option in the menu that opens a new window with all your non-empty layers. You can remove them at will, and print out an easy reference sheet!
Did you know: You can assign cosmetic names to your layers in Keybard! These are in-memory, and saved in your .kbi file on download, so other apps such as vial will not recognize or show layer names.
To rename a layer, r-click its number in the layer selection tab, and enter its name! To clear, just submit an empty string at the prompt.
Did you know: While normally you click a key in your keyboard, then a key in the example boards to bind it to - you can use your keyboard to bind it to a key! Enable "Typing binds a key" in the menu, then click a key to assign to, then just type the key on your keyboard!
Bonus: works exceptionally well with Serial Assignment!
Did you know: R-Clicking a key in your keyboard map will show you some easy shortcuts! If this doesn't work, be aware that the most common cause is a browser extension intended to prevent websites from hijacking context menus
You can assign and edit an unused macro or tapdance instantly, enter a key code by its raw QMK value, clear or disable it, or revert the change before committing it!
This also works for most keys you can bind in combos, key overrides, macros, and tap dance!
